Edward B. Driscoll,
Jr. has been writing professionally since age 17, with some occasional
gaps in his career to take time out to receive a B.A. in History
from the College of New Jersey, and study film production at
New York University. Oddly enough, given that background, during
most of the early to mid-1990s, he was a Registered Investment
Advisor with a financial planning-oriented practice. During this
period, he also wrote articles and gave numerous radio interviews
across North America and Canada on the subjects of small business,
financial planning and career counseling.
He returned to writing full time, after moving
to Silicon Valley in 1997. Since then, he has written articles
and essays
for numerous magazines and "e-zines", frequently on
home theater, home automation, technology, the Internet, financial
markets, and design.
He is married to the lovely and endlessly
patient Nina Yablok, who
is a prominent Silicon Valley business attorney. They both conduct
much of their work from their
home offices, connected to the Internet via cable modem,
LAN
and much fairy dust and voodoo.
