While the Blogosphere gave NBC lots of grief last month--and rightly so, in our opinion--over its lurid, tabloid-style coverage of Cho Seung-Hui and Virginia Tech, somehow, as Mickey Kaus notes, this may be toning down the impact of the Nightly News just a little too much to compensate:
Slow news day? Don't take it out on kf! Brian Williams just opened the Nightly News with this teaser:Almost as exciting a story as the time Katie Couric chirped--also on NBC--"When I got this assignment I thought whoa, slow news day. But the importance of the sports bra to American women really cannot be overestimated can it?"Paper or plastic? What is the answer to that agonizing question in the checkout line?
